Wild Discoveries

Research Training

On this page are a series of short training videos to introduce you to the study of animal behavior. Our goal with this space is to provide you with a basal understanding of how we research these animals in hopes of giving you a better understanding of how animal behavior is recorded in both a captive and natural setting. After viewing the videos we challenge you to view the provided video (under Practice Materials) of one of our animals in a captive setting and use our provided ethogram to record its behavior. Once complete, check your results with ours. Generally, if your score is greater than 90% in accuracy compared to our results, it means you are correctly identifying the animal’s behavior.
