About The Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Florida Affordable Housing Program helps individuals better understand the home buying process and the financial responsibilities of home ownership. UF/IFAS Extension is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. The home buyer workshop meets the education requirements for down payment assistance programs.

PROGRAMS TOPICS COVERED: analyzing personal financial and credit situation pros and cons of home ownership choosing the correct mortgage determining how much to spend and much more.
