Botvin LifeSkills Training® (LST) is focused on empowering youth to become happy and productive members of society. This evidence-based program enables students to make decisions that will positively impact their health and overall well-being. Youth learn skills such as:

    • time and personal management
    • interpersonal and social skills
    • creative problem solving
    • reducing stress/anxiety and increasing self-esteem
    • avoiding and dealing with peer pressure
    • anger management and conflict resolution
    • drug and substance resistance
    • and more

Studies have proven that mastering these skills results in avoidance of risky situations and decreased aggressive behavior.

What are the benefits of LST?

The primary goal of LST is to prevent youth from engaging in behaviors that will put their health and well-being at risk. LST has been extensively tested and proven to reduce a wide range of problem behaviors, such as:

    • Physical aggression by 30%
    • Fighting by 40%
    • Tobacco use by 87%
    • Alcohol use by 60%
    • Marijuana use by 75%
