Florida Youth Naturalist Program

Florida Youth Naturalist Program:
For Instructors

Become an endorsed instructor

Anyone is welcome to apply as an endorsed instructor, and everyone is encouraged to do so, including UF/IFAS employees, independent organizations, state, county or municipal nature educators, and formal teachers. You will receive support from the state office, be listed on this website, have access to additional resources, evaluation materials, logo designation items, and official recognition of your "youth naturalists".

The first step is to complete this brief FYNP Endorsed Instructor Application. It will only take a few minutes.

After your application is reviewed, the program leader will contact you with more information to proceed. Requirements for becoming an Endorsed Instructor include completing UF youth protection training and background screening, followed by an orientation to the curriculum. We will assist you with this step-by-step process.

Homeschool and Classroom Teachers

Although you may or may not be interested in a listing on our website, we would still really like to know if you are using the curriculum. Applying as an Endorsed Instructor will help us document the impacts of the program and will provide you with access to the online resources, materials, and recognition mentioned above. We encourage and greatly value your feedback.
