Technical & Cost-share Assistance
Federal and State Governments and other partner organizations have several programs to respond to a broad range of natural resource challenges faced by landowners. These programs help landowners to reduce soil erosion, protect and enhance wetlands and wildlife habitat, and promote forest and farmland productivity and protection. These challenges are addressed through land rentals, technical assistance, cost-shares, and incentive payments.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) administers most of the available conservation and land stewardship programs for landowners and agricultural producers. For the latest conservation assistance programs authorized by the Farm Bill, see: USDA NRCS Farm Bill Conservation Programs
