Faculty
Our plant breeding faculty play a leading role at UF/IFAS, the land-grant university with the largest plant breeding faculty in the nation, and one of the largest in cultivars developed and cultivars licensed. Our faculty are deeply committed to educating the next generation of innovative plant breeders to be well-rounded and career-ready for the industry, academia, non-profit, or other sectors. Over 30 faculty are housed in four different departments (Agronomy, Environmental Horticulture, Horticultural Sciences, and the School of Forest, Fisheries & Geomatics Sciences) strategically located throughout Florida: main campus in Gainesville and 7 off-campus Research and Educational Centers (REC).
